How it works
Temperature scales have different zero points, so they need formulas rather than simple factors: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32, K = °C + 273.15, °R = K × 9/5. The tool converts through Celsius.
−40 is the only temperature that is the same in Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Can Kelvin be negative?
No. 0 K is absolute zero, the lowest possible temperature (−273.15 °C).
Why don't I write “degrees Kelvin”?
Kelvin is an absolute unit written without the degree sign: 300 K.
