About Handful Tools

What we build

Handful Tools is a collection of focused online tools. Each page does one job — merge a PDF, compress an image, count words, convert units — and does it well, without sign-up, watermarks or deceptive buttons.

Privacy first

Whenever a task can be done inside your browser, we do it there. For those tools your files are never uploaded. When a tool genuinely needs a server, we say so clearly on the page, encrypt the transfer and delete files automatically after processing.

How we decide what to build

We only publish tools that work reliably. Tools still in development are not listed and not indexed. New tools are chosen for how useful they are and whether they can be made to work reliably, preferably without uploading your files.

How the site is funded

The tools are free to use. To cover hosting costs we may in the future show clearly labelled advertising or offer optional extras such as larger file limits. The core tools will remain free and will never add watermarks to your files.

How tools are built and checked

Each tool is written for one task, then checked automatically before it goes live: unit tests on the calculations and conversions, end-to-end tests in a real browser on desktop and mobile, an accessibility check, a technical SEO audit and a page-weight budget. A tool that cannot pass those checks stays unpublished.

Tools that would need a server — converting PDF to Word, OCR, video — are listed as planned rather than shipped half-working.

Who runs it

Handful Tools is an independent project, built and maintained by its author. There is no company behind it, no investor and no data broker.
