Discount Calculator
See what you'll actually pay for an item on sale and how much you save — including stacked offers like “30% off, then an extra 10% at checkout”.
Runs in your browser
How to use
- Enter the original price.
- Enter the discount percentage.
- Optionally add a second discount.
- Read the final price and savings.
How it works
Final price = price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). With two discounts, the second applies to the already-reduced price, so 30% then 10% gives 0.7 × 0.9 = 0.63 of the price — a 37% total discount, not 40%.
Examples
- Clothing sale
- 79.90 at −30% = 55.93, you save 23.97.
- Stacked offer
- 100 with 30% + 10% = 63 (−37%).
Common uses
- Checking sale prices
- Comparing offers between shops
- Setting promotional prices

Frequently asked questions
Are stacked discounts added together?
No. Each discount applies to the reduced price, so the total is always less than the sum.
Does the discount apply before or after tax?
It depends on the shop and country. Use the VAT calculator to add or remove tax.
