How to use
- Enter a frequency.
- Choose the units.
- Read the result.
How it works
One hertz is one cycle per second. Prefixes multiply by 1,000: kHz, MHz, GHz. For rotating machines, 1 RPM = 1/60 Hz, so an engine at 3,000 RPM turns 50 times per second.
Examples
- Wi-Fi
- 2.4 GHz = 2,400 MHz.
- Motor
- 1,500 RPM = 25 Hz.
Common uses
- Radio and Wi-Fi
- Audio and electronics
- Motors and fans

Frequently asked questions
How do I get the period from the frequency?
