How to use
- Drop a PDF.
- Type the watermark text and choose layout, size, angle, colour and opacity.
- Click Add watermark.
- Download the watermarked PDF.
How it works
The watermark is drawn as real vector text on top of each page's content with the opacity you choose, so it stays sharp at any zoom and doesn't increase file size much. Existing page content is not modified or re-compressed.
It uses the standard Helvetica Bold PDF font, which supports Latin characters (including accents).
Files are processed in your browser with the open-source pdf-lib and pdf.js libraries — they are never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
Can a PDF watermark be removed?
Anyone with a PDF editor can remove an overlay watermark. For stronger protection, combine it with the “strong” Compress PDF mode, which flattens pages into images.
Does a watermark protect the document?
It discourages casual reuse and makes the origin of a leaked copy visible; it does not prevent copying. To restrict printing or copying, add a password with Protect PDF as well.
Can I watermark only some pages?
No — every page gets the text. Split the file with Split PDF, watermark the part you need, then merge the pieces again.
Will the watermark show when printed?
Yes. It becomes part of the page, so it prints exactly as you see it on screen, including the opacity.
Can I watermark several PDFs at once?
One file at a time. The settings stay as you left them, so a second file only takes another drop and click.
Does it work with Arabic, Chinese or Cyrillic text?
No. The standard PDF fonts cover Latin characters, accents included; other scripts are replaced by “?”.
Can I use a logo?
Text watermarks only for now. For an image watermark on photos, use Watermark Image.
